spectrogram & waveform
Free online spectrogram and waveform viewer, rendered in your browser and exportable as a PNG.
see your audio
The waveform view draws your track the way music apps do, an RMS body with a peak halo or SoundCloud-style bars, in your choice of color with a transparent, dark or paper background. The spectrogram view is a real short-time Fourier transform on a log frequency axis, the same picture DJs use to spot fake lossless files and engineers use to find hums, clicks and over-bright cymbals.
Both render entirely in your browser and export as high-resolution PNGs. Nothing is uploaded.
common questions
how do I check if a flac is really lossless?
Render its spectrogram and look at the top. Lossy encoders cut the highest frequencies, so a hard ceiling around 16 to 20 kHz on a supposedly lossless file is a strong hint it was transcoded from an mp3 or AAC. Treat it as evidence, not proof: some genuine masters are simply dark up top.
can I use the waveform image in my cover art or videos?
Yes, that is what the transparent background option is for. Pick a style and color, download the PNG at print-friendly resolution, and drop it onto artwork, a lyric video or a social post.
what am I looking at in a spectrogram?
Time runs left to right, frequency runs bottom to top on a log scale, and brightness is energy. Kicks are bright columns at the bottom, hi-hats live at the top, and a melody draws visible horizontal lines.
