vocal pitch monitor

Sing into your mic and see every note you hit live, free, with nothing recorded or uploaded.

see the notes you sing

Sing or hum into your mic and your pitch draws across a live note grid, with the exact note, how many cents off you are, and your vocal range. Nothing is recorded.

watch your pitch instead of guessing it

Sing, hum or play into the mic and your pitch draws a live line across a piano-roll note grid: the note name, the frequency in Hz, and a cents meter that tells you precisely how sharp or flat you are. The line turns green when you are within 15 cents of the note, so staying in tune becomes something you can see yourself doing. Tap any key on the piano column for a reference tone and try to land on it.

The monitor also keeps your session's vocal range, lowest to highest held note, with a friendly hint at which classical voice range it is closest to. Freeze the screen to study a phrase, and adjust A4 tuning if you practice at anything other than 440 Hz. The browser's voice processing is turned off for a raw, honest reading, and nothing you sing leaves your device.

common questions

how do I know what note I am singing?

Start the monitor, sing, and the note name appears instantly with your pitch drawn as a line across the note grid. The cents meter shows exactly how sharp or flat you are; within 15 cents the line turns green, which most listeners hear as in tune.

how do I find my vocal range?

Sing your comfortable lowest note, hold it a second, then work up to your highest. The range readout keeps your lowest and highest held notes and shows the span in octaves, plus which classical range it sits closest to. Quick squeaks don't count; a note has to be held briefly.

does it work for instruments too?

Yes. It tracks any clear single pitch: guitar and bass strings, violin, brass, whistling. It follows one note at a time, so chords won't read, but for tuning or intonation practice it works like a very visual tuner.

is my voice recorded or uploaded?

No. The microphone signal is analyzed in real time on your device and drawn to the screen, nothing is stored and nothing is sent anywhere. Close the tab and it is gone.
