audio cutter

Cut and trim MP3, WAV and more on a waveform, free, no upload, no watermark.

trim and cut audio without uploading it

Select the part you want on the waveform, preview the exact result, and download it as mp3 or wav. Two modes cover both jobs: keep the selection to trim an intro and outro away, or cut the selection out to remove a section from the middle, joined with a micro crossfade so the edit is seamless.

It reads mp3, wav, flac, m4a and ogg, and even pulls the audio out of mp4, mov and webm video. Cutting happens sample-accurately in your browser, so nothing is uploaded and there is no length limit.

common questions

how do I cut a song?

Drop the file in, then drag across the waveform or grab the two green handles to make a selection. Keep selection saves just that part; cut it out deletes it and joins the rest with a tiny crossfade so there is no click at the seam. The play button previews exactly what you will download.

can I make a ringtone with this?

Yes. Trim to the part you want, keep it under 30 to 40 seconds, add a short fade in and out, and download as mp3. iPhones want ringtones in their own format, so you would still import the file through GarageBand or your computer.

does cutting reduce quality?

The cut itself is lossless: the tool works on the decoded audio, sample by sample. Downloading as wav keeps it that way; downloading as mp3 re-encodes at 320 kbps, which is a small, usually inaudible loss.

can I cut the audio out of a video?

Yes, drop an mp4, mov or webm straight in and the audio track loads onto the timeline. Trim it and download as mp3 or wav.
