File Drop is an AirDrop alternative that works across iPhone, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux with nothing to install. Devices on the same network find each other through a tiny matchmaking service, then the file travels directly from one browser to the other over an encrypted peer to peer connection.
The receiver approves every transfer before it starts, the file is never uploaded or stored anywhere, and closing the tab leaves nothing behind. Your device gets a name automatically and you can rename it by tapping it.
